Going indieweb

I’ve started the process of going indieweb. To begin with, I’ll be focusing on siloed posts relating to blog posts on my site. Brid.gy will be used to bring in favourites, replies and retweets via web mentions. Facebook likes may make it in at some stage.

There is talk of requiring Australian ISPs collect & store metadata as a user browses the net. Metadata can include a lot of information, for example this is what’s included in a single tweet

Blog Post: This Tweet Looks Unloved

We had Twitterfeed set up at this blog’s old location and took the opportunity to compare click-throughs from manual tweets versus automated tweets. Manual tweets had a substantially higher click-through rate than the automated tweets.
